 It is possible, but you not only have to be a good liar, you also have to be very careful. There's almost invariably a screw-up somewhere, a letter that gets found, a skype message that doesn't get erased, suspicions that get raised. If you can make it work though, and I know people who have done it, it can actually save your marriage, or your sanity.
