You need to get a peep hole in the door, yanno ~ for security reasons  I don't get too many knocks on the door, so if I am not expecting someone, sometimes I just don't answer. Canvassers of any type just don't want to understand no, though I close the door on them anyway if they don't and quite frankly, I don't like to be bothered like that. Hah ha! Perfect! I often get Witnesses at my door. Now I know the perfect way to get rid of then. The only difference I would suggest is to not do the robe up! 2016 will end soon The question is whether the crap will ever end!
