My friend, every thing you say is true. Domestically, the nation's interests have been damaged, perhaps irreparably, by the Republican Party's blind opposition to Obama at every turn. The Republican-induced crisis extends even further back, to the disastrous Bush years, when the policies of ill-conceived, destabilizing, poorly-executed war, squandered government surpluses and capriciously loosened financial regulations that brought the American economy to its knees were first hatched. America has too often been poorly served by all three branches of its governments for the past 16 years. Sadly, Obama himself will have much to answer for. He was a community organizer who as president led a shell of a party that he neglected to organize. While he handily won two presidential elections, State parties that desperately needed bolstering disastrously lost two mid-term elections and control over crucial State governments. This is not the time or place to engage in partisan bickering, however. Obama was a good man beset by lesser men. He, and the nation, deserved better. We are a resilient nation. We are not indestructible.

Obama has been a complete disaster as president, doubling the national debt to artificially prop up the American economy. You can't print money out of thin air forever and get away with it. $20 trillion and counting...... He forced Obamacare down our throats even though a majority of Americans opposed it, and still do. He lied through his teeth about keeping our doctors and insurance plans, as well as lowering premiums. None of that ever happened. We aren't a socialist country even though the rest of the world wants us to be one. I can't wait until they repeal it. It's a huge job killer for small businesses. His foreign policy has been his biggest blunder of all, and much of the credit for that goes to his incompetent secretary of state, Hillary Clinton. The middle east is in utter turmoil, Obama kicked open the door for ISIS, and the Russians and Chinese think he's a total joke. I agree. He lied to the families of the Americans killed in Benghazi, telling them it was a spontaneous attack caused by a stupid video. He and Hillary both lied right to their faces. I can't imagine anyone doing this to those families, especially a president. He hasn't enforced immigration laws and has let terrorists at Gitmo go free. He paid a $400 million ransom to free four hostages in Iran, a violation of U.S. federal law. He sold guns to Mexican drug lords with the idea that we could track the guns once they got to Mexico. Another violation of federal law, and a dead DEA agent as a result. I could go on and on about this idiot, but it's pointless. Next to Jimmy Carter, he's the worst and most dangerous president of my lifetime. I can't wait until January 20 to kick him out of the White House!

Sadly, Obama's legacy is Trump. I voted for Obama...and while the social construct was acceptable to me, it was not to many...the divisions are deep felt and the fact that the democrats failed to identify with white working class peoples was and is their downfall. The fact that the Democrats failed to acknowledge crime, poor security and immigration issues as well hasn't helped them at all. Until they address the divides with listening rather than screaming racists, bigot, rednecks - the democratic party will continue to implode and the country will continue down this rocky path. Trump, while certainly a megalomaniac, is not a stupid man, is ignorant of how government works. Perhaps he'll change it, I don't know. But, every time a company puts out they are bringing jobs back...he wins. So simple really...it's always about the wallet for those without money...and most Americans are below the 50k a year income levels. The Democrats, Hollywood, and MSM all ganged up on those people. Terrorizing and marginalizing millions. And those millions revolted the only way they knew how...voting. And still yet, we hear nothing about owning the divide - only how it was the Russians fault. It's always about who is at fault rather than lets fix the issues. As for Obama, I wish him well. He certainly had his moments of success and truthfully, moments of utter failure. The biggest...is Trump.

In Europe history taught us that (all) powerful nations which effectively safeguarded themselves against threats from the outside at some point fell prey to self-destruction. I worry that those who won't miss him soon, will do so one day when they will fully understand who they swaped him for. Hi Brent....the crime rates in rural and regional America (the RED Electoral maps that Trump won which you may have seen) have been falling while city and inner city crime rates have been skyrocketing. Chicago, DC, Detroit, New Orleans, toughest gun controls in the country and sanctuary cities and all wallowing in dead people of all colors. I truly hate posting CNN but it seems that may be one of your preferred sources...so here...please look at this article on inner city crime in Chicago. To further research, look at the DCAS reports. More people were killed in Chicago annually the past 3 years than American soldiers in hostile action. That may not mean much to you but it sure does to me. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/09/06/us/chicago-homicides-visual-guide/ The fact that a white megalomaniac billionaire is the first person/politician in ages to ACTUALLY SAY something loud and clear on the issue is ironic considering Obama is actually from...Chicago. The sheer hypocrisy of Obama's closing speech in Chicago praising himself and his legacy when when the statistics and facts prove differently is and was appalling. Perhaps if people in the inner cities had ample opportunity to obtain an acceptable education SAFELY and/or trade skills to work and have jobs available...perhaps..just perhaps we might see a decline in these horrific statistics. Not everyone needs a doctorate. We need people to wire the buildings, lay the roads and plumb the houses. Frankly, most people with doctorates really need to get a real job. But they do tend to live in nice neighborhoods and only read about the stats mentioned above. Heck, they might even portray themselves as social justice activists...and yell on line or march in a protest...while doing absolutely NOTHING to affect real change. To clarify the hysterical security issue in a way that might make sense ... the object of terrorism is to strike terror and to alter behavior - NOT kill people. The psychology is well known here. They, as in terrorist organizations of all sorts, may want to kill those of other beliefs but that is not their priority. They want to fundamentally change behavior and affect policy...and to be truthful, they are succeeding. Merriam Webster defines terrorism this way: the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims. If you can't see how this is being accomplished, I can't educate you. The story that automation will take over everything is just that. A story. Automation will take some, yet the list of companies already lowering costs and bringing back jobs...even a few hundred at a time...is enough to say that Trump at least is addressing this issue in a way that Obama and the Democrats failed to even acknowledge. Americans need jobs. Obama was/is more worried about what the world thinks than what the country needs. He really always has been. Trump spoke to the disenfranchised, unemployed American. SJW's call those people white racist redneck Christians. All acceptable groups upon which to shower disdain. Except that group...and 22% Latinos...and amazingly, 14% blacks....and amazingly 52% WOMEN....voted for #Trump. Interestingly enough, those percentages almost exactly replicate those groups population participating in the US. They did not vote for the self anointed Clinton/Obama/3rd Term machine....for which I am grateful to say the least. The 4.7% unemployment rate is a joke. The job participation rate is more accurate with 39.3% of employable people (no longer on the EE roles) unable to obtain part time (15 hours pw or more) employment. So......while I care about the billions of people Trump has nothing to do with.....I care more about 92 million Americans who need jobs. I did not say America's biggest failure under Obama is the election of Trump. That slight change of verbiage from my original comment is exactly why many Americans no longer believe b***hit crazy SJW oriented academia, Hollywood or pretty much anything on MSM. I actually said.... As for Obama, I wish him well. He certainly had his moments of success and truthfully, moments of utter failure. The biggest...is Trump. I too appreciate your point of view. I many not agree with you but truly believe that you are entitled to it. Even if you are Canadian.

Sorry to see him gone. The pest president of the 21st century. He tried to undo a lot of wrong from the last two centuries. One news network tried destroying him for 8 years every single day. How many hours is that? And they said their reporting was fair and balanced.
