I like contracts...everything is out there on the table and there's no surprises. If there's no contract, then I guess a negotiation is in order. JMHO.

Best of both worlds really does describe it well.

There are options available to you now though and renewal on the cards.

Being taken for granted or, as they say back home, being taken a lend of, is the worst feeling in the world.

Also to echo what Buddha said - being submissive does not mean never speaking up for yourself.

Is this deja vu?

This verbiage, or similar, appears again and again from various submissives.

And then what happens?

Then life miraculously turns into a bowl of cherries for a while.

Then deja vu all over again?

Exactly .... Like one of those wheels in a hamster cage. Run and run and run and go nowhere.

I've heard 'you'll get what you'll put up with'.

One I like better is ..... 'Don't make someone a priority that makes you an option.'

Oooo .... That's a good one.

If you permit yourself to be an option, you'll be an option.

Is there an option to being an option?

Yeah, finding the door and finding someone who considers you a priority.

Easier said than done.

Then remain an option.

It is easy to see by what you write that you already know what your heart is telling you. Don't over think this, make the decision with your smarts. You can see the people here in support of your wellbeing, and I think you should put yourself first here before it starts effecting your health. Take care

"Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do, and they will suprise you with their ingenuity."~ Gen. George Patton
