She's back - the girl with the most beautiful eyes in the world

There is only one way through hell - breathe deeply, stand firm on your feet and soften your neck.

I stole that from Ana Forrest who I did a class with recently.

Meantime I shall be sending all the good and healing thoughts to you xxx

I finally get to coincide with you! (Which btw, sounds a whole lot more naughty than it is...)

Hi, Brim.

Sending good thoughts for you for your surgery. I love this pic.

Hugs.

Ah dear Ms. Brimmie of the lovely eyes...

Not a fan of the Sax - perhaps the sexiest instrument in the band, the DIRT in dirty reggae, the FUNK in funk music??? I mean I love the guitar, a bumping bass line, Hammond B3 organ, a talented voice and other instruments, but Sax=Sex to the ears. I mean Natalie Merchant's voice gives me eargasms, but Candy Dulfur playing sax - whew! (She used to be in Van Morrison's band btw.) She does a cool rendition of "Brick House" with Lionel Richie (former Commodore), though I have to admit I LOVE the 70's Sax-driven funk sound!

Before Kenny G. made the sax boring as hell, he used to be in a band called the Jeff Lorber Fusion who I saw play at Lincoln Center in NYC opening for Bass-master Stanley Clarke (formerly of Chick Corea's "Return to Forever").

Skankers Streetlight Manifesto have two sax players - one who plays a Bari Sax

Anyway - I digress, since I really wanted to know how your surgery went and that your foot and ankle are well on their way to being fully healed, as well as that you did not allow the after surgery pain meds to lure you too much. I took pain meds at the Doc's insistence after laser throat surgery, since he said that once the pain kicked in, I would regret not having already started them. One day of them was enough - I just couldn't stand the lack of motivation and how they didn't let me feel LIFE, the Universe or anything. Gratuitous Douglas Adams reference there - "Deep Thoughts" LOL

In any case - since I've been busy myself I haven't posted of late, but there was a posting in my head about song thoughts and a bit about Dreams and perhaps Fairy tales (remember they can come true if you're "young at heart").

You seem to think of dreams & fairy tales in terms of the Heart song "These Dreams" - check out the lyrics & I think you'll see what I mean. For a sweet instrumental check out the classic "I'll See You In My Dreams By Django Reinhardt ", but for a thing of sheer beauty of lyric and sonics check out Eels - "In My Dreams". That guy's songs just tend to blow me away!
