Nothing feels better than getting a real letter in the mail.

Well I wish we had weather as warm as yours. Today I hope for sunshine, light or no breeze so I can rake the leaves out of the flower beds and such and get the yard ready for its Spring awakening.

If I knew you, I wonder what I would write. I used to write letters all the time, then the internet came along. Now i hardly write, nor does anyone I know write, other than one good and dear friend in California. My concert going cohort.

Andrew Bird, he was a surprise the first time I saw him; opened for a Ani Defranco concert. Met him at intermission. Really nice guy, and very talented. I woudl love to see him do some things with KT Tunstall.

Brim....

I have brown thumbs for the most part; however, weeds, ugly bushes, and roses oddly enough flourished when I lived in California. 36 different roses that I planted.

Here in Wisconsin, I have managed to maintain and improve the grass around the house I now reside in. In fact, if it does not rain tomorrow, I will cut the grass for the first time this year.

Perhaps when I retire (most likely in Washington State) I will try to grow roses again. Perhaps I will find one and plant it in your honor one day. I have tired roses here in Wisconsin, the soil is just not right and it is too cold far too long most years.

I agree. Reminds me, I am remiss in sending a letter to one of my dearest friends. I need to also send a birthday card to my sister.

I would send letters to all the good people who blog here and elsewhere for that tangible element of receiving mail. Most of the young folks only know e mail, tweets and such. I miss letters. My handwriting sucks though. I think I may have taught Doctors how tow write unreadable prescriptions in a past life.

Hope you will start blogging,or if you still are, that you will consider adding me to friends list so I can read the posts.

Be well.
