There is so much I want to say yet need to get my rear into work. Let's see if I can give you a brief elevator pitch....
1.) You are not alone! Never for one fraction of a second believe that.
2.) I'm no therapist, but I have to believe expressing your feelings/emotions can only help you through grief. The memories are/can be painful... But just like your conversation with your friend.... They soon will turn to happiness and "remember when" internal conversations that will bring a smile to your face and because of your bond... That shitgrinning smile that for some unknown reason are sometimes the most powerful and rewarding smiles to make!!
3.) Realizing I've taken up more than 30 seconds. Fuck it!
4.) Remember the Bill Murrary flick "What About Bob?" Baby Steps... By no means do I think you are playing the Bill Murray part (yet your adventures do bring joy to this reader) but life is sometimes as easy as Baby Steps. Short, most of the time uneasy, and can result in pain or happiness... But as you step through grief... Remember, each step you take is one that is more steady, less painful (unless your ankle just can't take more that day ), and will bring you new adventures to hopefully provide you more opportunities for those grins!!
5.) While DMB did not play "Bartender" for me this weekend, I did take a moment to have my friends drink for your loss while tailgating at Alpine. Again... You are not alone.
6.) Grief is most definitely a motherfucker!!

Just looked at the clock... Yikes. Maybe more to come... If I don't forget it all by the time I get to post again. Take care young lady! You will make it to the other side. Trust me.
