Thanks BD!
( And let me apologize or my tardiness here, yeah? Even with forewarnings, that can send the wrong, dismissive signals... )

Releasing the prison of Self seems well-camouflaged self-sabotage as we and your periodic Circle see it.

Oh, but how to get and believe in that required courage for unlocking that cage...teh effort seems pointless for so many. For example, a person wrote:

...I no longer had a voice for my desires. In fact, I didn’t even know I had desires. I was aware only of a vague sense of yearning…a restless sort of discontent…and of course, an insatiable craving for things I was sure I couldn’t have....

Imagine that feeling.
Or maybe like me, you don't have to, having been there, and glad to see the *self-delusional* ass-end of it...

*We CAN always change.* And that's the real beginning innit?

I appreciate you.
And it'd prolly be cool to hang with your Circle, too.

Hey V!

And now I'm trying to visualize HOW.

I think about things that some are already good at, stuff that comes easily to some of us, us. Like, say, Music Theory, or sewing, or swimming, or math, or surfing, or baking, or computer programming, ad nauseum.
Competency rewarded their effort.

And if you can do a thing, it's easy to feel since YOU can do 'it', whatever it is, then everyone can.
That's never been true.

When it comes to things they're inexpert at...their perspective becomes a little different, and they become more resistant to change.

A long list of stuff we know we cold do or want to do that we don't.
I think it's b/c we don't know HOW...and, like our efforts, our Hopes has a shelf life....one that shortens like a burning fuse if we're not around people who make you feel you can do it, whatever "it" is.

I appreciate you.

Hey Tam.

That statement, anyone that's intelligent can understand music theory, I think I sorta believed...a little part of me did, anyway.

After, all, no one else I knew struggled as I did, and hit, as Eye saw it, they made it look easy. I remember thinking, "What in the world made me think I could do this? What am I - Stupid?"

And it also pissed me off.
So, what made me dig in? Unsure. Proving someone else wrong lacks as an incentive, sooo, maybe I was also telling mySelf not to tell me what I couldn't do?

I suppose I feel that if I feel like a lost cause, orrrrrrrrr if don't believe... it dun matter who else is denigrating me OR encouraging me.
I submit to
my own extinction.

You, like me, believe that our choices of action/inaction can change reality.

Just...how best to have them DO it? For some of us, it's just so no-brainer easy...a seems hopeless or like Utopian BS to others...

Good luck with your one woman who learns.
And I appreciate you sharing here.

Regards To Your Others,
