Innocence

Innocence

There is such an effort to protect the young. It is almost a religion to protect the young from lost of their innocence. We do all we can to protect the young from the world, from the harsh reality of life. We cushion their existence in so many ways, yet there is one harsh reality we are not protecting them from,

The unjust war!

With elected officials decrying the lost of face in the mid-east and the military-industrial complex, President Eke first warned us about, demanding more spending and advising that we send more of our youth to Mideast to do what? Die, become lame, return without skills to make a living?

It is all good! People send care packages to the war zone and greet returning veterans with "Thank you for serving."

And when they can they keep their and daughters out of the military and navy, so their babes won't have to kill or be kill. So their young won't have to see the horrors that make up war.

Let see, the lost of innocence and the death of thousands compare to draining resources from this country so that the USA government does not lose face.

I am for protecting the innocence of the young, ours and theirs, from the harshness of state sponsored killing that has no meaningful end.
