 I have not had an SG since the one I bought used back in 73 ( it was Terry Kath's before he traded it). It was stolen along with a Firebird XII. I have had my eye on a Turquoise one for a long time now. But I am first after a National resonator and another Martin. Also, after a 2014 Les Paul Jr Studio Delux.

2013 Mahogony bodied, classic cherry stained Gibson SG -- the last year Gibson made lefty guitars (SGs or LPs) in America.

An American SG.

Meet the new boss ...

If you're going the Les Paul route, may I suggest that you look into the chambered, hollow bodied, 2 F-holes included Les Pauls of this year? The LP has always been known to be heavy, and now ...

Already swapped out the nuts for straplocks.

Next, I think I'm going to make the bridge assembly flat black.
The thing has such great tone -- chords are so lush and full.

 I don't know if you saw my attempt at Guitar Porn a few blogs ago or not.But tomorrow, I am going to take photos of some of my oddballs. I have a Heritage made from left over parts in the old Kalamazo Gibson factory. And some handmade US Hamers. One is a one of Sold body 12 String written up in magazines. I have a Hamer Newport 12 that is also just plain awesome. Silver Falcon.

As you might see from my posting history, I haven't been around ALT much and am definitely pulling away from it. When Ghanan banking scams are the most honest thing going on here, then it is time to go ...

But I will try to look for your next post or two (I looked earlier tonight) to share the guitar favor. Just ordered black replacement bridges on mine.
