Two quotes for you about regretting the past. You probably know them but worth a reminder:

George Best (genius Northern Irish footballer) "I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered."

And this from I know not whom but maybe me! "If I had all the money I've spent on beer... I'd spend it all on beer!"

Dilemma.

I would like the best of both worlds.

To be fair, I would probably end up doing exactly what I have done! What an amazing life ride I have had (and of course it hasn't always been just rosy). But to go back 20 years... I find even the thought exhausting !!

In reality, no, I wouldnt. What, thathat I have now, would I be willing to give up for that to happen? Not one thing!

Though that nostalgic....'gee, if I was only 20 years younger' occasional wishful thinking where in my head, EVERYTHING works out just like I plan, lololol? Oh yeah!

I didnt appreciate who i was then like I do now. Hell, I was still buildng myself back then to be honest and there are pieces of me (who played a young womans game of entitlement & bitchiness) that are best left dead & buried never to be seen again, but for fucks sake.....20 years ago, I could drool over a 26 yr old and not feel like a raging pervert like I do now .

Sometimes I make a move, sorry to leave my home, but hope I will find another of equal character.

There is one thing I'd change...nothing momentously large, but I think it could result in a significant cumulative effect. There have been far too many days where I've have done more existing than actually living...where I took for granted the amazing condition of simply being alive. I would have a greater appreciation for the promise and possibilities offered by each day in those 20 years, and then see how that attitude change alone changed the tacking of my sails.

Hmmm 20 years ago, I was raising infant twin boys. I wouldn't change the opportunity i've experienced seeing them from go from children to the wonderful men they are today... that said I certainly wouldn't mind feeling 20 years younger, everything else is pure gravy

Let's just say that it'd be good to turn off both teh killsitch AND aging genes in our bodies baby.

25.

That body...
Yes...and for an old testament lifespan ~ along with everyone else.

Do you think you would get bored? Would there come a time when you were ready to go?

I don't know if I'd get bored; just ~ as long as I stayed in My Right Mind, My Imagination would always prevent that. (sooo, I guess I ought to add perfect lucidity along with the 25 y.o. body and killswitch gene turn off.)

Would I get tired enough to want to submit to my own extinction, non-existence?
Let's say No.
No reason to do that to my old friends, and great great great great great (...) grandchildren, nephews, nieces, et al.

And yes, I'm' sure I 'd change my life...many times.

Only switching from one infinite alternate reality to the next, over and over, could be more exciting as Eye see it...
It'd take first coffee, then beer and a few edging days to discuss this right, I think.

Not sure , but i think so . If nothing else , I'd like to try to beat the arthritis before it got as bad as it did before I found out I had it . Retirement for medical reasons isn't the best thing to have happen , Enjoy that good health while you have it . If you suspect , check it .
