One-hit wonder? Not the J. Geils Band.

Between 1972 and 1985, they scored ten Top 40 hits, including "Must Have Got Lost," "Love Stinks," "I Do," and "Freeze-Frame."

"Centerfold" was, however, the peak of their success with a six-week run in the #1 spot starting in late November of 1981.

I'm channeling the ghost of Casey Kasem tonight.

I wonder if younger generations have a clue what this song is even about...I mean, centerfolds still exist, but with the internet, they certainly have lost their iconic status.

It's hard to pick a best one-hit wonder, there were a lot of great ones, but I'd have to go with "Layla," which most people credit as a Clapton song, but it was released as the one-off band Derek and the Dominoes.
