I'm kind of warming to the idea of Idris Elba inheriting the role (if there is any truth to any of those rumors). It would be a departure from the archetype, but Craig was also a departure in many respects, and he completely reinvigorated a pretty worn-out film series. What I'd love to see is an actual hand-off of the 007 mantle from one actor to the next...including the name. If M can be transitioned from one person to the next, why not the complete identity of the agents? Plus, wouldn't it be awesome to see Craig's Bond come out of retirement in a future film as part of the story with the new Bond? ~LastGuy "It's great to be here. I think I need to see a screen test....It was the same feeling I had when Sean bit the dust....and until Daniel ...the movies did not interest me...Although I did like Timothy Dalton...which I know was not your favorite...we shall see my Shana Maidelah....

Saw an interview with Hugh Jackman last night where he admitted he was approached to play Bond before Daniel Craig but as he was about to do second X Men he turned it down, then said if approached after Daniel leaves franchise he would give it serious thought

Well I do know those two actors work. I think they could both do the job. I think Tom Hardy could do it very well. There are others as well. Everyone has taken the role and made it their own whether we like them or not - that is personal preference. I liked all the other actors who have played Bond. Some more than others in the role but I have liked the actors themselves in their bodies of work. We should be able to look at the work an actor does or is capable of and not just what they look like.
