"And the winner is.....NOT LG"

LG appliances are a problem. Hard to get service. I refuse to sell them or Samson appliances. Electronics are ok, but the way technology changes they do not maintain parts since they assume your will buy new rather than repair that stuff. We expect a longer life out of appliances, such as washer and refrigerators. Guess what, their stuff needs more repairs than other brands and when you get to five years, they hardly have parts. Had my washer, which being in the business I got a great deal, which in the long run has not been since I had the computer boards replaced four times and now they don't have parts. So I am buying an American made one.

but either of their TVs are fine if you do not expect to keep them much more than five years.

Not intending to hijack the post in weird directions (because I am), but I had similar problems with LG appliances...I'm convinced LG stands for "low grade."
