LOL...I was thinking the same thing about a possible Pontiac curse...the only Pontiac I've ever owned, a snappy red 1997 Grand Am, met its end spinning out of control on an icy overpass, so maybe they are cursed. Well, if there's any good news, the curse has to end soon, since the brand no longer even exists.

Hope you find new wheels soon. Until then, which ever way you traverse those two miles, be safe.

Provisions at work... maybe a change of clothes and a cold wet towel, considering the likely temperatures in Plano? I'd go with the bike. You seem pretty durable, although your writing indicates a very tender, romantic core.

I biked to work occasionally. It's excellent exercise, and doesn't attract or meth users.
