That's a beautiful fireplace. Love the uneven corners. Great stonework.

You could even lie on that stone hearth in the summer without a fire and enjoy the feeling of the cool stones lowering your temperature ... making that naked body next to you all that much more attractive.

I screwed up when I made my fireplace. Didn't put in that raised hearth, but it was a trade-off between drawing the cold air from the floor into the fireplace or the better visual effect of a raised hearth.
