IN THE NEWS

Good evening, and welcome to W.T.F. nightly news, with Nicky Knockers on weather, Ben Dover on sports, and I'm Jack Mehoff. We start off in Idaho where a 18 year old lost control of his vehicle causing two female occupants to be ejected from the rear of the vehicle. Investigators report that the 16 year old passenger in the front passenger seat reached over with a lighter, and set fire to the 18 year old drivers armpit hair. Result car had rolled after driver lost control. All occupants survived crash, and both males were cited for reckless driving, and interference with a motor vehicle operator.

Our next story takes us to upstate New York. Paul Smith College is the institute of higher learning where you can minor in craft brewing...thats right beer. The professor of the course said "The main intent is not to create beer brewers, but prepare students for all management, administrative, and operations opportunities." I wonder if students new this before signing up. In Europe brewers can obtain masters, and even PhD's in brewing science. The course work over there focuses on flavor chemistry, and brewing chemistry. In 2013 craft beer sales grew 18 percent, and the industry provides 110,273 jobs.

In international news a 20 year old Grenadier Guardsman was shown on video using creative antics at his guard station outside Buckinham Palace. Usualy known for their strict no nonsense, and unyielding stance while at post this soldier was walking post, and as he did he would sometimes stagger step his walk, or bend over as to pick up something, and stare at it while doing his patrol. The video has gone viral, and may land him in military prison for 3 weeks, but the hope is for a fine to be imposed instead.

Lastly we go to Chongqing China where this smal town may have solved the bothersome texter junkies who don't pay any attention to where their going as they walk down the street running into people, or crossing traffic in front of cars. Designated sidewalk lanes for cell phone users were put in place. On one side of the sidewalk a picture of a cell phone, and the other lane indicating a line through a cell phone. The town got the idea from a behavioral experiment in Washingto D.C. I guess special people need special lanes.

Thats the news such as it is, and remember I don't make the news I just read it.

Thanks tsarah, and don't go away because I want to include you into the mix, as our new entertainment reporter (tsarah sera) I might be stretching a little with the sera, but if you say it fast enough it works.
