Lies and omissions I'm pretty up front when chatting to new people on here. I make the way I live my life very clear. I even have a copy and paste few paragraphs saved that I use to set out exactly what's what as I got bored of typing the same things out over and over again. Some respond positively whilst others less so. And that's fine. My early emails are designed in a sense to put people off so neither party wastes time on something that's not going to fly. Conversely, I expect others to be up front and honest with me. This doesn't always happen though. One man I was chatting to told me he was 35 and 6 foot tall. When he turned up, he was a good 15 years older and at least 8 inches shorter. I don't have anything against short 50 something year old men and would probably still have met him if he had of been honest. But him lying about something he was obviously going to get caught out on made me question his integrity. If he can lie about the obvious, then what else was he hiding? Omissions are similar. Take the guy I was seeing who accidentally forgot to tell me that he was married but also that his wife was 38 weeks pregnant. Not technically lying to me as I never asked an explicit question as to whether he had a pregnant wife waiting for him at home but, nevertheless, a big thing to forget to tell someone. What corkers have people told you? |

The three biggest lies: The dog ate my homework The cheque's in the post and I promise to take it out before I cum! I'm laughing at the guy who lied about his height. (You can understand people thinking they could get away with lying about their age but height? )He probably told you he was intelligent too; clearly another lie! Too funny.

I can understand exaggerating by a inch of so, but a girl is going to notice an eight inch shortfall isn't she!

I suspect that note was as authentic as the ones I used to have excusing me from PE!

I have had the ones who like about size,, weight, career, you name it. 2nd wife like about the use of medications, about how many times she was married before we married, the fact she was having an affair with her boss the entire time we dated and were married. It all unraveled for her with me in three months. All those lies. I ended that fast and it still cost me a bundle which was part of her game plan. Last I had heard she has been married now a total of 8 time. Its a long story for a short marriage. "One Big Sky Covers Us All Equally"

I think the key is about intent. Some of us (including me with my name) don't give out correct personal info online for safety and privacy reasons. The intention there is a good one. Whereas in other examples, the intention is purely to mislead which feels very different to me.
