 Having now gone and listened to the song in question (I don't listen to much radio lol) I am split in my decision. I think that either interpretation could be right as it really depends on who you identify with the most.
I have been the mistress and definitely can relate to being jealous of what the wife had (being the mother of his children, acceptance in society etc) but at the same time I can understand why the wife would be jealous of the mistress (the way you make him feel).
Agree both scenes are sexy idea though too
