Very well stated. Awesome writing. So many people see submission as weakness. Submission is about strength. Many of the dominants out there do not understand the inner strength and trust it takes to submit to another... because they're oh so, manly...and wouldn't even have the courage to try submission.

Very well written and so true!!!! Ever notice how many subs have powerful positions in their career but find their soul relaxed by gifts of submission to others...

Indeed. Same thing as they think a dominant should only X or Y factors. People seemed to have a great misconception of D/s. Just like their variety in vanilla type of encounters with people, same thing with D/s. I think people are more used to a cartoon version of a sub and dom: the former being shy, not bright, easily embarrassed, timid, and other the all knowing and powerful OZ who never shows a smidge of weakness or emotion other than commanding presense etc. Some submissive women are timid and shy, and some are not. Some get off on the timid and shy type. I know friend who thinks I am not a sub because i put him in his place. He is a bit of an idiot..why would i be submissive to him-? Laughs..there is another misconception, just because you identify as submissive, does not mean you are submissive to everyone. I think far too many, not out of anything bad, but out of ignorance base their views on fantasy stories, not actual people. The cut worm forgives the plow. W. Blake, Proverbs of Hell

And the best Dominant don't have to title themselves as such in initial meeting or communication... Their demeanor and actions are so powerful it becomes natural to submit if chemistry there...
