it is all about balance, and you have to know both ends to achieve balance. IMO
How can you be a good top, without the knowledge of the bottom? How can you be a good bottom without the knowledge of the top?
I imagine most can identify with both, its just what glove fits better for them and their balance.
Just my 2 cents, nice post!

An interesting and thought provoking post. And provoking interesting comments too; I think it is true, as you say, that being in one position teaches you a great deal about taking the other role (not least, the correct way to apply a clamp without the need for aftercare in A&E!)

I wrote this a long time ago The Switch Manifesto, not long after I joined. It is a trifle niaive but I think it still pertains. I hope you enjoy.

Meanwhile I look forward to more posts here with eager anticipation.
