I like to photograph musical groups, the scenery at Eagle Creek Park, and anything else that looks interesting to me. I am learning to photograph the night sky.

Are you taking the upcoming astrophotography class at Roberts Camera? I want to but haven’t enrolled yet.

if you were Gold here, I would email you my email address. my IM doesn't work here.

Does it ever work for anyone? I set up a private message box on the top of my blog if you'd like to send it that way.

well I stand corrected! very interesting.

It was interesting reading the history, so rare to get that opportunity. I enjoyed your pics as well, would enjoy seeing more sometime.

hi Bear!
loved your pics!!! this goofy site would only let me comment on one but the house in the snow was a great shot, and a newer style home.. makes you wonder what happened.

Thank you!
That was the beginning of a snow storm that dropped almost 2 feet of snow on that poor old place. The road became impassable within hours of that shot. I actually found an article with the pieced together history of it. Built around 1906, abandoned in 1949. It never had running water

Hello Briley, I have uploaded a few photos of a couple different subjects to my profile (Other photos album) if you would like to see them, I can't seem to get them to show here. Would like to know what you think.

One of my favorite hobbies as well. My favorite subjects are old abandon buildings (around here there are lots of old farm houses/homesteads), old equipment/vehicles that nature is reclaiming, and landscapes. If I could paste a pic here I would pop a couple in, have got a few nice ones over the years

Nice photos. I've also found that going places at first light (in summer around here that's like five AM, even earlier in late June) you can get a very interesting prospective. You already frame the odd angled stuff (photo # 2) quite well. The orange slanted light of dawn is a good palette to use for those kind of images.

(and the kind of people you meet are often quite weird during the early hours.)

that's a fantastic idea, thank you very much!
