For my mother's funeral my father wanted a specific rabbi. Because it was during the recessio0n, my brother was unemployed. and had an important job interview to go to . His schedule did not fit into the Rabbis schedule so we used another rabbi. When my father died a few months later I made sure we had that rabbi for the funeral. One of the first things he mentioned at the eulogy was my father was upset at the frequency of our visits, but my brother and I should not feel guilty about it. A widow was upset that the cemetery would not allow her to put her husbands favorite expression on his tombstone, so she put a list of her husband's best qualities. If you take the first letter of each quality it spells FUCK YOU. I assume a member of the BDSM community could have "Forgot my Safe word" on the tombstone" I once went to a funeral of a relative. While listening to the rabbis eulogy I realized I had heard it before. I realized that the rabbi was the rabbi who officiated at a wedding I was working a few weeks prior to the funeral. He was using the same body of the speech he gave at a wedding for the funeral. All he did was change the beginning and the end. I felt like Mary Tyler Moore at Chuckles the clown's funeral. I wanted to burst out laughing.

ima I too hate funerals but , I try to remember the good times with the person who has died! A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing. George Bernard Shaw Jenny
