First off, I hardly ever get any messages. If I do, they are easy to detect as fakes; those folks mostly outside of the US looking for someone to fleece. Or, they are some needy messed up person who thinks I can make there life perfect.

Occasionally, someone from the blogs will message or from a chatroom. Usually to answer questions about all of this, usually fairly new or perplexed about some issue and figuring I will be helpful. Which, I will try to be helpful.

Years ago, I got more messages when alt had more activity in regional chat rooms. But now that I am over 60, the number of contacts has dropped off, other than the aforementioned screen names soliciting.

Most of the women who contact me live too far from me to make a relationship practical. When I point this out that is usually the last I hear from them. The ones who live close enough and seem worth pursuing seem to have complications like demanding schedules or family commitments. Sometimes we can make that work, but it is often difficult.

I understand the frustration you feel if a gold or silver member fails to acknowledge or respect conditions you mention in your profile. I suppose they assume they will be graded on a curve (sometimes I try to get away with that ... ). For standard members, it might help to put an extract from your profile in your blog, as I have done Something about me.
