OMG. I wake up 21 times an hour just from breathing issues! 5 times an hour from leg movements! No wonder I'm always tired. I go back in next week to get fitted for a C-Pap machine. Hopefully I will start getting a good nights sleep soon.
Well, I had the sleep study, and now I have an appointment with the pulmonologist on the first. Hopefully it'll be sleep apnea, and with a c-pap machine, I'll start getting real sleep. Of course, it could be something else. I never remember my dreams, so it is possible that I'm not actually getting into REM sleep. If its not apnea, then it may be a neurological issue, and I have no idea what the next step is.
My sleep problems have gotten to the point that my doctor told me not to drive until I've been treated. I have a sleep study on the 17th, and then see the pulmonologist(sp) on the 1st. After that they will determine my course of treatment. I will probably be given a C-PAP machine, as it seems to be Sleep Apnea. So I am essentially housebound until sometime around mid July or so. My wife is driving me to my classes at USM-LAC, and doing the errands I usually do.
Its frustrating knowing that I can't just hop in the car if I want to go somewhere.
I don't know how many of you see or read the Lewiston Sun/Journal. If you do than over the last couple of days you would have seen articles about a shooting on Horton Street. My landlord decided to tell some trespassers to leave, and when they pulled a knife, he pulled a gun and shot one in the ass. Of course, the "victim" says he usually has a knife with him, but didn't that night. The cops found a knife near the scene. My landlord is being charged with "Elevated Aggravated Assault". whatever that means. I personally think that he might have over reacted to the trespassing, but if there was a threat to his life, than he did nothing wrong.
I got up the other morning, everything seemed to be going about normal. Until ... (cue sinister music)
I got a pone call from the landlord. He lives downstairs, and was heading out to run some errands and noticed that the drivers side rear windo of my car was smashed in. I went out to look at it, and found a large rock sitting in the back seat. It looks like it was an accident, someone hit the fence next door, which is a good 4 feet higher than our drive, backed up and flung a couple of rocks out. And I only have liability isurance, so I have to pay the whole cost, out of pocket!
I hit the big 4-0. I am actually coming to terms with this milestone. I'm just afraid of what my family has planned for me. They can be pretty devious about these things.
I am out on medical leave, because my wife appears to have narcolepsy. She goes in for a sleep clinic so we can get a definite diagnosis. Until we have said diagnosis, I will not be working. It's not safe to leave her alone for any real length of time. She could fall asleep, without warning, at anytime. And she has! We were at Wal-Mart the other day, and she fell asleep waling in the store.
The inside door panels on my car are falling off. I have no idea how to fix that, and I can't afford a mechanic.
We've all had a bad cold/ the flu for the last week or two. Not helpful.
