Moving to a new area is always hard ... even harder for the kinky minded. So is taking the first steps into a new lifestyle. Where are the clubs, munches; how do I get connected with like minded people and chat; What are good places to shop, etc.

This group was formed when Ginger was freshly delivered to the PNW Pacific Northwest. While not unfamiliar with BDSM, she felt it was important to develop a group on Alt to welcome folks to the Kink Rich PNW. We agree. Many of us found this group helpful as we moved “Northwest” from other places. It also has found a place for folks to gather information and advise on BDSM.

The group has grown as folks found a place to ask questions, learn about events, and organizations committed to BDSM and positive sexuality. “Knowledge is borrowed but never owned and only increases when shared.”

So welcome to our view of the PNW Kink scene. You will find postings from members; advise about techniques, and a wide range of views on subjects near and dear to us. The group is moderated by a small group of active participants. We simply ask that you abide by a few guidelines. Please introduce yourself. No Grand Standing, drama queens, flaming or veiled insults - it will only make you look bad, trust me. We WON'T and DON'T delete posts (Alt might shuffle them around but We NEVER DELETE posts. We won't unless they are out of date eg details on a party or event etc. So what you say is going to stick. Remember, you create your own legacy. Do not look to the moderators to protect your reputation. If you are on ALT, you should be considered mature enough to do that yourself.

Each person's post is just their opinion or experience and should be respected as such, even if you disagree. You can always just ignore their post, or write them privately. Just hold off exposing the rest of us to unwanted discussions unless of a valid safety issue, or something that DOES benefit us all.
