I am writing this ...to share some insight into something that I believe everyone goes through eventually. The manifest of broken love. For just as you enjoy the euphoria of love that captures your heart and makes you feel that magical presence of someone special in your life...there is an extreme evolution one must go through when that love is broken. I believe Charles Dickens said it best "It was the best of times...it was the worst of times"...oh how those words have meaning now. For you see, love in all it's splender gives meaning to your life...it exalts the heart with passion and if your very lucky...it makes you well again.
We all know that feeling of love...but it's how we deal with broken love that teaches us about our inner soul and helps us learn what's really there. You will find that broken love makes you feel lonely, sad and empty. There is a certain coldness that occupies the heart, a desolate barren wasteland of nothingness that gives you that isolated feeling you experience when feel alone in the world. You go through the motions of life...but that feeling holds on...and pulls your spirit into that lifeless civilization. You seek answers to questions that even if you find them...suddenly they have no meaning...your heart weeps in despair...you pray for that feeling to leave...only to have it intensify.
Some try to put their best foot forward and move on...while others wallow in self-pity harboring destructive thoughts of lost love...but through it all the heart aches, the spirit laments and the soul suffocates. We begin to doubt love's intent...why would we ever want to put our soul through such torment, such vexation...to risk our ego, our character, our passion. And yet through the ashes of sorrow...we find hope...to build again...to reclaim what is rightfully ours...the joy and happiness of life. For we will never truly know love and all it's glorious mysteries...until we experience the sorrow of all it's frailties. And so when life's journey takes you to this moment in time, hopefully you will have a deeper appreciation for how sacred love can be.
Therefore, I say to those who have found love...embrace it...for those who have lost love...pursue it...for those who have personified love...cherish it...it is a gift from God that belongs to the ages. For those who have hearts that are mending...be strong and know that the spirit of life is with you...understand that the pain will one day subside and that tomorrow begins the dawn of new hopes, new adventures, and new dreams. Do not give up on love...for it is like music and sunshine to the heart. One day when love comes calling it will hear your music...and follow the light that will make you whole again.
