Autumn is a civilized season. Stable weather and temperature, deep blue sky.
Winter may have a few cold days (by our local standards, that is...), but the temperature keeps going up and down.
And Summer is just too hot and makes me see the world under a very negative and hopeless light.

Working our way into Summer and seemingly bypassing Spring altogether. Went from snow to temps in 70's within days. Welcome to the southeastern portion of the continental U.S.!

On the opposite side of this ball of rock ...the pendulum is swinging your way. The days are lengthening with warmer times ahead. The ice is melting and the ravens are returning with a harsh call announcing their arrival. Activity is poised for an explosion of growth once the ground is clear.

I am anticipating the return to the house overlooking the ocean on an island with lobster boats hauling traps ...Mmmm, good times ahead.

Lovely photo.

You are so right re Nature!!

The Seasons do give us variety and it is windy in Sydney too.

I love a good storm... as long as I can find some dry, cozy place to get out of it once I've had enough or a martini or a glass of Lagavulin if I'm already inside where I can ride it out.

When I lived in Fukuoka I used to go down to the waterfront when it was storming and watch the waves crashing against the pilings and sea walls, and picture what it must have been like in when hurricanes (kami-kaze or divine winds) twice saved Japan from Mongol invasions by scattering Kublai Khan's armadas in the 13th century.

Living here in FL we have our share of storms...... the afternoon summer storms that last an hour or two and of course those big bad ones we have come to know as hurricanes. Give me Spring/Summer every day and I'm a happy girl.

    Quoting  :

Nature seems to provide an energy that no other morning routine replicates.. There's an exhilaration that seems to enter us when we step out into the day .. When I am restricted to buildings and cars, I notice an absence.. Typically, I fix it with an outdoor lunch break.. The season that I can get tired of is redundancy .. Today was very cold; Yesterday was warm and absolutely perfect; Both were beautiful.. Do you love below 0 days in Winter? Or do you see them?..
