Domestic Discipline (DD) is a rapidly growing area of interest in and out of lifestyle communities. DD is the newest terminology for a lifestyle that has existed for hundreds & hundreds of years... and longer! :) DD is the practice of a subtle 24/7 type of lifestyle, with an emphasis on spanking as a disciplinary action or punishment.

The Dominant partner is most commonly known as the Head of Household (HOH). The submissive partner as Taken in Hand (TIH).

When implemented ideally, DD is the caring, consensual, consistent use of discipline as a positive way to enhance communication, deepen intimacy and reinforce relationship commitment. The discipline would normally include one of the many types of spankings and/or other disciplinary measures, but centers around rules of behavior asked for by one party and agreed to by the other.

Also the degree of power given to the HOH (head of household) varies. Some couples may choose to have only a few agreed upon rules with set consequences, while others choose for the HOH to have a more encompassing leadership role.

Furthermore, the lifestyle is always entered upon with a consensual agreement between both partners. Some couples even sign a contract that outlines the specific terms they have agreed upon so that there is no confusion. Domestic Discipline is designed on more then love & care alone. The most important detail to note is that there is no one set way to live this lifestyle. Each couple/household modifies it to meet their own specific needs. As in any relationship... taking time & patience to gain knowledge so you can find the right "Match"... is crucial.
